MSNBC has a live feed of it flying by on their home page.
It's on there video player so I can't embed it.

When exactly is it supposed to fly over? I'm in the southeastern U.S. Will I be able to see it?

Sorry, I know lots of people have been talking about it for months, I just haven't really paid attention to it before now.

NASA twitter feed is sending folks here to see it: www.ustream.tv...

NASA site for YU55 with little movie: www.nasa.gov...

AsteroidWatch @NathanMcB1rney A movie of radar images is at (link tracking not allowed)/ugtSYp & a live feed from Clay Ctr Obs. is at (link tracking not allowed)/v1dHjK

From Twitter. ^

ATS apparently has an auto-feature removing link tracking (not me, NASA url). Here's the original from the NASA tweet: www.nasa.gov...

Edit: StarPeace, just providing more links not trying to take away from your video feed. Thanks for posting. From what I understand its closest approached occurred around 6:30EST, an hour and half ago. But all still watchable on these channels as its still close!

Thanks for that. Someone on the chat at that live feed just said 1 1/2 hrs to go til it flys over. So, I guess 9:00 pm here EST.

Anyone know if southeastern U.S. will be able to see it?

Oh dang, I just remembered we have an observatory less than 2 miles from here. I think I'm going to drive over and see if anyone's hanging there tonight... I might even get a glimpse.

Okay, maybe someone can help me here. By my watch, Yu-55 passed by us just over an hour ago. The times are set un UTC/GMT/London time. 11;28pm 8, Nov. Which made it 17:28 Central U.S. time....right?

Did this pass by an hour ago or yet to go? Am I just losing it entirely for converting time zones??

I read that anyone with a backyard type telescope should be able to see it tonight. There are several sites that are helping with coordinates to help you in finding it. I guess that rules out naked eye viewing. Sorry, I don't remember where I read this stuff.

It's moving on the U Stream link. Pretty noticeably too.

To the left.

Local news station (I'm in Maryland) said the place to see it would be along the east coast at about 6:30pm.

A decent telescope would be needed.

But it says right under that it would fly by at 23UT, which was two hours ago. It just said on my local 5:00 news that it already played too, I think that countdown might be ticking down to the replay.

IDK it must be flying (or already flew by) now I doubt there would be lives feeds up now if it was flying by tomorrow.

I just went to MSNBC saw the live feed and posted here for those who are curious and want to see it.

I freaked when I saw my daughter's school clay center obervatory
on NBC national news tonight about YU55 - they have an amazing

24 in. ritchey chretien (cassegrain) refractor with a extraordinary IR spectrometer

for near planetary work.

NBC video link from tonight on YU55

I think now whenever there's a conspiracy on asteroids or PX, I'll email astronomer ron dantowitz

or chat him up live.... he's gotta have a better view than most !

I watched the observatory feed for about 15 minutes. It's getting smaller. I checked a few other places and it's outbound. Looks like we skated by again
