If 40% of Americans are red, and 40% are blue, then we don't even need to be the 99%. We need to be the 20%; In a democracy, we decide everything.

OWS has no power to change any of the things they don't like.

The only way anything can change is if we elect different congressmen and senators with different ideas. But if anything the country is shifting to the right - The GOP is in the ascendancy - they took over the House last year (and won 2/3's of Senate races in that 2010). Next year they'll "occupy" the Senate and maybe the White House. The GOP is highly pro-Wall Street and Big Business and corporate power, and frankly so are the Dem's . America is basically a very conservative country and OWS is on the left political fringe.

So OWS can protest all they like but they are wasting their time. There is no big progressive political movement in the US waiting for a groundswell of support to occupy Congress in the next election. This is the "new normal".

Well Professor, I'm happy that you have everything including a good union which prevents you from losing tenure!

You achieved the success, but you did nothing to cry out against the manufacturing jobs being mvoed to China, Vietnam(remember our enemy), India, and Mexico. Remember, all that wonderful (no tariff) open borders that allowed China to export to us all those wonderful products? Do you remember those folks and folks in India, Mexico, Bangladesh, work for $3-7.00 per DAY? How much is your daily wage? Can we bring in Professors that will work for $7.75 per hour and move your butt to the (too expensive to keep catagory).

Remember how you taught that it was OK to ship our technology overseas? Remember when you taught those deeply indebted students that this policy was going to choke them? I'm sure you taught them to expect losses in income, prestige, sense of self-worth !
Do you remember when you taught that your students should live within their means? Did you tell them NOT to spend more than they can earn??? Did you?
Do you remember when you accepted applause at ceremonial faculty functions, that your courses were a bunch of bovine-biomass taking advantage of eager students who thought those liberal agenda courses set them up for failure? Do you remember? Have you and your fellow professor have any sense of shame?
Didn't you teach them that a government that spends more than it can make will eventually run out of money and then credit? Did you teach this????
Didn't you teach those students that illegal immigrants(aka undocumented workers) are still illegal and taking those jobs that we could still do if we were taught that nothing is free ? Remember teaching those courses?

Well, if you did, they didn't listen? Or if you did and they didn't understand; then it's your fault for allowing a dummy in your class not do his/her work.
Did you scold your students for not using common sense in their deliberations?
Did you insist that your students commit to the highet standards while attempting to receive an good education??? Or did you just plod on in the monotone presentations and think: It's theire money and they're responsible without any guidance? Did you cry out about liberal agendas that you knew would bankrupt our society?

Did you feel guilty about getting a paycheck for teaching "failure" and accepting mediocrity from students????

No you just grabbed your pay check and laughed all the way to the bank!
You've done nothing to help those who are suffering from the ignorance instilled into them by anti-capitalist courses.

I'll end this tirade, because I taught my children all of those positive pro-capitalist common sense ideas that generate income and jobs for others.. And they thrive !!!!
