You can set your front page to whatever you like. It is in the options portion.

Spell check, you say? Happy to help. First, install Mozilla Firefox. Then, install the dictionary:
English (US) Dictionary

Now, type about:config in the url bar and press Enter. Type in:
layoutspellcheckDefault.
Toggle to make it have a value of "2" rather than the default "1."
Now you will have automatic spellcheck in Firefox.
