Im glad your back, BTW. First,the OP was and is about Michael Moore.

Second,we both know Moore is Rich.

He doesnt live check to check,like 99% of people in America are living.

He claims he is 99%

Thats a lie. Thats not Fox News,thats Michael Moore saying it. He has and is a perpetrating this lie on those who believe it. Hes made millions off his movies,and made CORPORATIONS Millions more. Thats a fact also.

He has an agenda.

What is it? To make more money. How? The best way he can. Taking advantage of those who believe in his shtick.

Well I have been shot down too!

We have to be open to other realities and realize that our own personal box is not always what is fact, or right.

We actually have a lot in common, but our line of thinking is different. I used to be a hardcore Republican conservative, but I realized that it is not as black and white as threads like this make it seem. There are many variables that must be considered and I am now willing to point out those hard-lined views as being too extreme. On both sides.

Also, how does one man's agenda discredit the OWS movement? That was also one assertion made in this thread. That's why I made comparisons on the other side of the political spectrum.

Sure,if the OP was wrong,I would have no problem telling him he was. Unfortunately,hes right. Not only is he right,he points out how hypocritical this man is. This doesnt bother you that Moore can go to OWS,and claim how proud he is of them,like he is one of their own? I would praise Moore if he said,"Look,I have vasts amount of wealth,and as a token to this movement I am giving 7/8 of it to you proud people" I would say BRAVO! I could definitely say,he stands by his principles! He isnt though. He never will. Like these ultra rich Actors who claim sympathy also. None of them care. They crave status. Its sad. No better then greedy Corporations,and Politicians.

It is actually a matter of fact that the mayority of protesters, and those organizing the protests are leftwingers. The OWS movement is the leftwinger response to the Tea Party, which has gathered more people to protest than the OWS movement ever will...

1% doesn't refer to people like Michael Moore. It doesn't refer to anyone in show business.

1% (more like 0.3% or less) refers to the tip of the crust that initiated bailouts, and continue to do as they please to the tune of trillions of dollars. The super-elite. Moore is not one of the super-elite.

1% doesn't refer to people who are simply "rich", or living 'well'. It's a label for people you've probably never seen before. Does Michael Moore trip up the entire world economy by initiating a nation-wide housing collapse? No, he does not.

It refers to those who are unbelievably destructive. They destroy the economy, they destroy lives to continue their status quo.

Get that through your thick skulls. This was never about a class war, "rich vs. poor" etc. It's about the SUPER-F*ING-ELITE and the havoc they have caused.

As much as I've read, I'd have to say that the 1% is actually. . . . anyone that the OWS/progressive/Liberal/union/socialist/(pick your denomination) doesn't like.
If the OWS crowd likes you, you're part of their club. If they don't like you (regardless of your personal wealth) then you are the 1%.

It's an us vs them ideology. 50 years ago it would have been black vs white. 100 years ago, catholic vs protestant.

That's why I see it as a progressive-liberal agenda. Progressives have to group. They have to focus on a target. Their ideology is driven by anger towards (pick a topic).
Right now it's class warfare.
Two years ago it was racism.
Before that? Smokers.

They can't just stand for something.

They have to stand against something so that they can be defined by what they stand against. Not what they stand for.

The TP rallies have pulled more people in one single place at one time. Let's also consider that the TP movements were sponsored and held by FoxNews and other big money organisations. OWS has not.

Let's also consider that poll after poll shows that OWS is much more popular with the American people than the TP.
