(Reuters) - The United States has pulled its ambassador out of Syria over security concerns that have arisen during a seven-month-old popular uprising against President Bashar al-Assad, Western diplomats said on Monday.

Robert Ford left Syria over the weekend, they told Reuters.

Clearing the field for Sen John McCain suggestion for military action in Syria?

Sen. McCain Says U.S. May Consider Military Action in Syria

Probably not likely but I wouldn't be overly surprised if it came to it, sooner or later.

Hopefully it's just a diplomatic "two-step". Wonder if the Syrian Mission in the US has left.

Every uprising, every "event" has left hard-line islamics in charge.

I wonder if that is the real purpose here.

Do they, TPTB realize we know what they are doing? that some of us aren't as dumbed down as they think? Soon as Libya sorted out they now are ready to target Syria in the final piece of the puzzle in preparation for the annihilation of Iran. The walls are certaining closing in on Ahmadinejad. Too bad we know what is going on.
