I write a lot of music... I spend hours and hours composing
Metal is my genre... Some of the stuff I write is heavy and fast... but a lot of it is dark and gloomy
But ole Alice has been a massive influence for me.
He captures the elements of despair, insanity and eeriness and turns them into a artwork...
He has a new album out and while I havent heard anything yet from it
My dial up internet wont allow me to watch this video...
I wanted to share anyways...

Alice Cooper is performing this weekend in my city - I'll be out of town....but what do you reckon, he still has the energy for a live gig at Hard
Rock Cafe?
...plus I'm not sure that qualifies as "metal". Sounds more like country than anything, really!
I realise he's contributed HEAPS to the genre, but in my opinion, the world has moved on.

Coop will always be the first true American "heavy metal" artist.
Good to see he's still kicking.
Don't miss his live show if you have the chance to see it.
He is a true entertainer, something far too many bands forget about being.
Brutal planet started to sound like Marilyn Manson in places.
That's a compliment in my book.
I was listening to Alice Cooper back when I was in
high school.I am now a 56 year old grandma! I liked...
Schools' Out,Billion Dollar Baby,Only Women Bleed,
to name a few off the top of my head.Ahhh,Welcome
to My Nightmare.
Has anyone ever listen to T-Rex and Uriah Heep?
Cooper is the ORIGINAL heavy metal! According to the Rolling Stone Encyclopedia of Rock he INVENTED it.
Marilyn Manson should not be mentioned in the same breath, he is a cheap ripoff of Alice Cooper, minus the awesome music.
Alice Cooper lives in the town I grew up in, he was always our local rock star, I've met him many times. The original band was one of the best bands
ever. Dennis Dunaway is still my brother's next door neighbor. The same band played with Elton John on his best stuff (think of real guitar jams
like Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting) and also Lou Reed on Rock and Roll Animal. Fantastic.
It was a coons age it seems...,billion "dollar babies,"Gutter cat vs.the Jets" Welcome to my Nightmare,"lots of good memories attached to Alice
and his music...yeah,those were the days

The new album is really outstanding, but I might be biased as Alice is in my top three all time. If anyone wonders about whether he can pull off one
awesome concert at his age, I recommend checking out the Theater of Death DVD from last year. Always an outstanding live show and one artist I never
miss when he comes through town.
