Niice haven't heard this in a while. Love the sax.

"All my enemies shall be miserably cursed"

So good for pumping the adrenaline almost makes you wish you were in a shtrafbat smashing nazis. Then I realize how much getting shot would suck.

This song scares the crap out of me. Like if Lovecraft had Giger's deformed rape baby and gave it an Ibanez.

When I first saw how long it would last, I thought boredom here we come!
But I was indeed surprised.
It had some of that retro rawness of Wolfmother, and then I heard Thin Lizzy and Iron Maiden influences.
Well, I wasn't bored for one second.
Strange to see so many styles of metal in one song.
Excellent: thanks.

No problem man. I listen to most genres of metal and much more. I love exsposing people to new music. Underground metal has been my passion for 12 years now.

Yeah that is a great album. Man I love the spread of music you are into. Is metal much of a big thing in SA?

Traditionally more in the white community, but metal has been a popular since the early 1990s.
There were a lot of good local bands, and there were many distinctive styles.
The best bands were probably Voice of Destruction (VOD) and a a semi-metal alternative group called The Springbok Nude Girls.
Both had limited success in Europe and the UK.

Some of those musicians got together to form KOBUS (I think they even opened for Manowar).
Living in a fairly brutalized society, some say metal came naturally to us, but as fringe music it was hardly ever promoted or funded.
That seems to be changing.
Here is KOBUS singing in Afrikaans:

I'm doing all Canadian bands for the rest of this post.

Singing isn't worth noting but such a tight band

*&%! every drummer who is better than me. I mean I can do gravity blasts like that. But his foot speed and separation is insane. INSANE!!!

Speaking of godlike drummers... I suck. Well I am off to cry myself to sleep.

Do I agree??? Hell yes I do.

Seen em in Toronto this summer. They played the majority of blood mountain. It was great.

Oh and they are dropping a new CD later this year.
Their new track is called black tongue if you want to search for it.
edit on 11/9/24 by metaldemon2000 because: (no reason given)
