But since there probably won't be much of a payoff for playing it safe, I shall also place
150 on #1: Bankersgonewild .....simply because I could see that happening by this weekend whether the Sat. was falling or not.

#13Tuesdayisgonnahappenftw: An all encompassing event which will happen everywhere around the globe;
specifically, on a Tuesday, 27 SEP 11.

Horse #12 is a bit of a wild card. How is this "Tobedetermined" going to be measured in magnitude? If Justin Bieber dies on Tuesday, doesn't that make Horse #3 invalid? What if some politician or other famous individual dies? What if there is a 7.0+ magnitude quake and the media doesn't hype it, or vice versa and the media hypes something as small as a 3.0-5.0? What if the media gives Ron Paul a fair shot? In my opinion, all of these qualify as massive events, but that's just the thing -- it's my opinion.

I think Horse #12 has to come with a "make up your own scenario" option. It shouldn't be so open-ended, since who determines what qualifies as a "major scenario?"

Of course, I know the OP has no way to enforce his own rules, since he isn't allowed to give or take ATS posts (AT$) anyway, so I guess it doesn't matter.

I've been a long time observer of this site, but never created an account, but I just had to make one to weigh in.

I have zero points, unless this gives me 1. So I'll put what possibly could be my only point on #3, although having been through earthquakes, volcanoes, and hurricanes myself, I kind of enjoy the excitement of such things.

2.#3: Nuttintoseehere (ML 1:1)…A strong favorite. This horse is for those who believe come Wednesday morning the birds will be chirping, the sun will rise in the east and things will seem, well, pretty darn normal.
3. Coming in arounnd 1 month after the race has ended, #8: Euroloser (ML 10:1)…Could the EU collapse under the weight of all this debt and all the bailouts? We’ve all read the news stories. This pony could pull it out in the stretch run. Never trust a Greek Jockey.
