Hee guy's I figured out a way to see the infra-red spectrum
They say you should see Elenin somewhere nearby the sun right?

Just get your remote from the tv and aim at the lens of your webcam or notebook camera. Whit the naked eye you should not see the infrared light appear on the remote while pushing some buttons. If you point it at the laser of your webcam ( while recording) you can see the infra-red light appear on the screen.
So, most webcamera's can record ultraviolet.

I did aim my webcam at the sun and well... go and see for yourselves. There absolutly is a little shining thing next to it.

Check it by looking through a burnable DVD with your own eyes, and.. there is nothing there!! :hiding: Try it, It's an easy thing to do.

English is not my native language so dont be too hard about my grammar ;-)

hmmm....you are mistaken.
The CCD sensor picks up the infrared light...but there is a filter over it....so you have to take the camera apart to remove the filter.
Then you have to cover the lens with something else to block out visible light.

Pointing a camera at the sun is not advisable.

EDIT: Waiting for the lens flare/artifact/f****d up sensor pics
Should be a laugh lol...as always

Why don't I understand the concern about Elenin?

I try, but it just doesn't make sense.

I guess posting screenshots is more difficult than hacking apart a webcam to make it see infrared.

2nd.

Perhaps you can run these through Photoshop long enough to circle exactly what we're supposed to be seeing? I see reflections and I see lens flare but I don't see anything that resembles a second object in space near the sun. I'd also looked up what is involved in direct video or photography of the Sun and..your webcam still works right? I'd noticed the professional photography articles I'd found specifically warned AGAINST doing this. That is, pointing sensitive optics toward the sun without filtering to protect the sensors that "see" things or don't see things after the Sun does it's thing.

Oh well.. What do I know? I'm just looking at your pics and failing to see anything out of the ordinary. Help please?

The screenshots are small... perhaps you should save a still directly from the webcam instead of sharing a screenshot of all your desktop. Take the picture to paint draw a circle around what we are suposed to look at.. save the picture as .jpg and upload it to ATS and share the link..

how to upload to ATS ?

Just press Tools on top

press pictures

log in with your ats login

Press "upload pictures"

find your picture on your comptuer and press upload

you now get 3 diffrent link adresses to that picture you upload

use the one at the bottom.. just copy paste ALL of it

you can mark it by holding shift key and pressing right or left on keypad..

then just press CTRL + C

and the CTRL + V in your thread

You can upload to TinyPic...that works fine

But...its lens flare, from pointing the cam directly at the sun. You may well have buggered the cam for good now
