3 Dead man 50+ injured Nevada Plane Race

RENO, Nev. — A vintage World War II-era fighter plane plunged into the grandstands Friday during a popular annual air show, killing at least three people and injuring 56 and creating a horrific scene strewn with body parts and smoking debris.

The plane spiraled suddenly out of control and appeared to disintegrate upon impact. Bloodied bodies were spread across the area as people tended to the victims and ambulances rushed to the scene.

The plane lands right into the crowd, there are a couple of vids on YouTube, and I'm sure more will follow. It just dive-bombed the crown.
I'm not even sure where the plan came from, t doesn't look like it was in the race, maybe practicing. They are calling it mass casualties, and many critically injured.
I can't believe the commentator asks everyone to stay where they are.

wow, so sad, but i always figured it was just a matter of time....
i mean, you are pushing 70 year old planes to their limits, and large crowds gather underneath them....recipe for disaster

Very tragic accident, heart breaking. So sorry for all involved. My heart goes out to everyone.

I think 'lands into the crowed' is the wrong way of describing this

The plane just vertically fell out of the sky, although it did look as though he was frantically trying to pull up as the angel in that split second was increasing

My dad was there with his best friend. I have to admit, I sort of freaked out when I got the news.

He explained that the plane was actually part of the race and he witnessed it veer off course towards and behind the stands. As he watched it, thinking the pilot simply opted out of the race, he noticed the plane drifting back towards the race area. It then barrel rolled and crashed into the ropes off VIP section, just two sections away from where they were seated.

When I last talked to him, he was still processing what he had witnessed.

If your suggesting that he did this on purpose, your seriously mistaken. Almost all witnesses will say that he stalled, tried to gain altitude, and than crashed.

its a sad tragidy and i hope these people find peace .
