'Vampire' arrested after she bit wheelchair-bound man, police say.

Woman, 22, found outside a vacant Hooters restaurant, covered in man's blood

Josephine Rebecca Smith, 22, is accused of attacking
a 69-year-old man, allegedly telling him she was a vampire and
threatening to eat him.

A self-proclaimed vampire attacked an elderly wheelchair-bound man outside a Florida Hooters Restaurant just before midnight on Thursday, leaving him bloodied and in need of stitches, police said.

Milton Ellis, 69, had fallen asleep on the porch of the deserted Hooters in St. Petersburg when he woke up to find Josephine Rebecca Smith, 22, on top of him, he told police.

Smith told Ellis she was a vampire and then proceeded to bite him, tearing off chunks of his face and a part of his lip, St. Petersburg police spokesman Mike Puetz said, according to
The St. Petersburg Times.

"After he fell asleep on the ground, he claims that she attacked him, started yelling that she was a vampire, that she was going to eat him and started biting him by his face and body," Puetz said.

How does she exlpain the fact that she can have her picture taken? like isnt that one of the rules? What a nut job poor guy like being in wheelchair wasn't enough he also has to deal with vampires.

I knew that was a small amount of people who really believe they are vampires, and Wolfkin, and every other kind of 'otherkin' type, but I never really understood the need to call oneself or act as something other than human when every bit of evidence proves that is exactly what you are. Human..

I can see how some would think that a bad label, but it's the only one that fits. Besides maybe "Crazy". That seems to fit nice, too..
