What should we expect from this solar wind?

Im not well versed when it comes to the activities of the sun, though i probably should be as it seems we have a target on our forheads at the moment.

If you're up near the north pole you might get to see the aurora.

Im in eastern canada,
I remember on year we got hit pretty hard, and we saw auroras down in my area, pink ones come to think of it...

Maybe we'll get to see them again

We have M 1.2 solar flare from same sunspot 1283, not Earth direction ..

I understand that solar flares/CME's, etc can be bad for various reasons. My question relates to AzureSky, is there anyone who can post a thread on this for laymen...looking for "solar flares for dummies"

There are a lot of pages i know, but very useful stuff on the subject.

Update: Electrical ground currents caused by the storm have been detected in Norway.

Location: Instrument room polarlightcenter Lofoten Norway.

Details: Today. sept.09 2011 at 12.45 UTC the first CME arrived as a magnetic shockwave on my instruments.There is also an effect in signal strength from my vlf receivers,coming through electrons in the solarwind cloud.The magnetic field is unstable at the moment,it means a big change for auroras coming night.

Now staring stronger activity ..

First we have short strong pressure and after that time medium pressure, now I expect all time stronger pressure ..

From now in next days I expect stronger EQ and volcanic activity ..

Of course by ground current you mean, an "abundance of Electrons" were deposited,,
to GROUND.

and that is why current or F force,,when INCREASED,,
can JUMP to

Electrical SubStations,,

CAUSE A "connection",,

we see as an eletrical "short"

Summary:
Expect impedance increases along electrical lines.
"shorts" at Sub - Stations.

I really should get paid for this. Really.

We also have a large coronal hole that is Earth direction, be here 11-14 Sep ..

This person predicted possibly 8+ in magnitude and I share similar belief maybe more 7 + ..

I managed to people pay attention in last 4 months for connection of Sun eruption and earthquake - volcanic activity, succeeded in my intentions ..

One more strong CME from X class solar flare are here ..
