Hare’s and Hound’s.

Ideas floating in the eternal mind
Some are gentle giants
Others dark and unkind.
Both are like bubbles,
silent
until they burst into your time.
Their first hint of arrival,
is a smell or a sound,
a distant rumble,
Echoing underground.
Once they are upon you
there’s no turning them around.
you either join them on their journey.
Or simply drop them
and hope their never to be found.
If you fear them they will seek you.
like the hare is followed by the hound.
But like all phantoms,
seeing through them leads them quickly
homeward bound.
