Ron Paul on Texas Straight Talk: 8/29

In this weeks Texas Straight Talk, Ron Paul talks about Gaddafi being taken out of power and the situation in Libya.

He brings up how our attacks on Libya are unconstitutional as there has been no official decleration of war and it hasn't received Congressional approval. He also mentions that not a dollar spent on it has been authorized by the House or Senate, and that Obama ignored the authority of the US Congress.

"Are we better off as a nation by ignoring and debasing our Constitution? Are we better off having spent more than a billion dollars attacking a country thousands of miles waay that had not threatened us?"

He also talks about how many believe that it was worth it, but tells us not to forget that there were no massacres taking place before the NATO attack. He says that as soon as planes started bombing, civilains started dying. He acknowledges that Gaddafi was a tyrant, but says that he is no worse than the many others that we support and call allies.

Another thing he brings up is that Neo-conservatives continue to dominate our foreign policy regardless of the administration in power, and they are too blinded by their desire for empire to consider the economic reprecussions. In fact he says the US has set it's sights on Syria for possibly more "intervention", as Obama has called for "regime change" in Syria while adding new sanctions against the Syrian regime.

Ron Paul is clear like mountain water...you are opposing Ron Paul ----> then you like invasions,you like wars,you like death , you like imperialism,you like suffering,you like big goverment, you like murdering, you like more people in prison for pot,you like globalism,you dont like constitution. Go tell to small kid what do you like ..he will tell you: You are EVIL .

Things are simple with Ron Paul ..you can't oppose him .. if you oppose him you are not human ..you have only human skin.

I agree, I really just can't see how there are people who support other candidates more than Ron Paul. --Does not compute--

Sadly, based on some recent polls, the majority of people have that mindstate.

Things are simple with Ron Paul ..you can't oppose him .. if you oppose him you are not human ..you have only human skin.

I think lots of the people who oppose him are just so brainwashed by all of the wars and media propaganda that their brain can't conceive a country that operates any other way, even if that's the way it should be.
