Meteorite Strike Research Thread

I'd like to start this thread to keep a log of mainly all meteorite strikes from around the world that make it into the mainstream media and also any reliable personal accounts. It seems to me that there is an increase in activity, but to really be able to analyse the information, we need to have it in one place.

Here's a couple from the last week or so to start off.

Space rock singes senior hanging clothes

Scientists working to determine identity of objects found in CA backyard

Yeah, there have been at least increase in reports, like these bright fireballs here in Finland in couple last years... but weather greatly affects visibility of those, at winters there can be over month long periods when sky is cloudy all time.
Also it might be same reason as with volcanoes:

Really intresting why does it fall when there was ww1 and ww2?

I imagine becasue most people's attention was on the war, and there would have been a restriction on communications due to security maybe?
