MPH right now. No longer a Category 3.
Yes, thats a good thing. The size of this storm even in a weakened state will still bring hurricane force winds and conditions for a prolonged period
of time over the OBX and Tidewater region starting tonight and continuing through late Sat into early Sun. Even a weakened storm will still be a lot
to contend with.
We are old pros at hurricanes here. I worry about the folks up the coast who dont know what they are in for.
Whos they that predicted that? Hurricanes, get power from the sea. The ocena water is what gives em strength to grow. its their fuel. as soon as they
hit land..even a small isalnd, they loose power and start to downgrade FAST.
