there's been some speculation about this for a few days now, but the war and SARS have been keeping it pretty buried... Perhaps he's in a small padded room eating his crayons???

Could be an assassination, and the other higher ups don't want to let on...who knows?

Of course, it could be those rumors that he's a huge tv freak, and isn't coming out till American Idol is over...

It says in the article that this isn't the first time that he has dissapeared, he's been gone before for around 5 weeks. Still, the timing is odd. What if he was taken out in a coup'de tat. Maybe other people in the government didn't like what he was thinking, and had him killed. Perhaps they felt that he was going to inevitably destroy N. Korea, and felt that it was better for the country if he was dead.

Rumors have it that the same thing happened to Stalin. Supposedly Stalin was planning on invading Europe, but his inner council decided that this would be suicide for Russia, and supposedly had him poisoned for the greater good of the Soviet Union.

Man, I hope Kim Jong was taken out or has this SARS stuff. He could've ran away for safe haven in some other country or died and his goverment is covering it up.

Lets face the facts here people. He is one of the leaders of the three countries declared as "evil" by the President of the most fearless and ruthless nation in the world. This nation has declared the North Korean leadership as "evil" and has reasons to see to the removal of it's establishment. So it is understood that he could be next, because the other evil dictator Saddam has now seen the wrath of that ruthless nation.

So the man has only a million reasons not to hide, right? Wouldn't you? Or would you actually stand in the way of the towering beast of warfare? He knows he can't do such things. Kim probably understands that in time his country will be the next target of that beast. So the sooner the better. He knows that saying and he should be living by it. The sooner he gets lost and finds a place to hide the better off he will be. One must wonder, does he have that ability? One also must wonder, does Saddam? Where are these men, and will we ever find them?

Just a couple of facts to consider:

North Korea has openly threatened Japan with military action.

Japan has openly stated that if it had any evidence that North Korea was planning a strike on them, the JSDF would act preemtively.

The Japanese were the origins of the Ninja assassin clans, the ancestors of modern SpecWar concepts and ideology. (Meaning that Japan has a natural 200+ year head start of the rest of the world in SpecWarfare)

Perhaps the JSDF considered Kim to be a threat that Japan could not live with, so they decided to live without Kim?

Actually it way more that 200+ years but to be honest with SARS starting up in China. The president to North Korea may have overstepped by a long shot what he thought was his right.

It really is to early to tell at this point, would sugest another month of him missing and clearly something is wrong.

Just a thought, With SARS becoming almost an epidemic and could concevibly become a plague in china, i think China will have to hold off a bit before they plan a war on the US, or they may have to strik earlier then planned before there man power is overcome with SARS

But is'nt it a coincidence SARS came out the same time the war did? maybe he gone because of it?

Does not add up.

The Dear Leader is out and about again: www.timesonline.co.uk...
It's hard to believe that Mr Kim has many "doubles" or "lookalikes"

*sigh*

Oh well, guess it was wishful thinking that the JSDF might have taken him out.

I agree, not many ugly enough to act as body doubles for Kim...

If you guys pay attention throughout the wars, Leaders always come up missing shortly before their countries engage in War. Its a trend so to speak, kind of like abuseing power and lying.

Perhaps his own people ARE hiding him as they prepare a fake Kim Jong Il, come it takes time to learn all the manerisms and replicate his movements. The voice will be easy as they have electric means to simulate that.

Just how many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsy pop?

The man is a cartoon character.

Abraham, is there anything you don't blame on the United States government? You seem like the type of person who wakes up and blames the US for the fact that you forgot to buy corn flakes for breakfast. Get over it already. The guy is a lunatic who thinks he's god. Have you missed the boat here?
