UFO seen over Chinese Airport- 08/17/11

Fox News is reporting a new UFO sighting over a Chinese airport yesterday 08-17-11.

CHONGQING, CHINA – Planes were dramatically diverted away from a major Chinese airport after reports of a UFO circling a runway, the Shanghai Daily reported Thursday. The mysterious object was spotted Wednesday afternoon floating high above Jiangbei International Airport in the city of Chongqing, an important aviation hub for southwestern China. Worried officials diverted several flights to other airports before it disappeared about 50 minutes later and air traffic was allowed to return to normal.

NOTE: THE PICTURE ABOVE THE STORY HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE CURRENT REPORT OF A UFO OVER A CHINESE AIRPORT.

I know there was a big Chinese UFO flap in the summer of last year (2010). So far no pictures have been offered as evidence. Don't be fooled by the picture that tops the article. It is a slide show of famous (infamous) UFOs.

There must have been something there (UFO or lanterns) if they actually diverted planes.

Is Fox news into recycling UFO stories or something? I'd swear this was the same story from last year.

They sure like to hang about over airports every now and then. But what purpose does that serve other than being a potential hazard to incoming air traffic...

You would think with the amount of people going in and out of airports everyday that at least one person would take a photo of one of these objects.

That wasn't a picture of the actual UFO from China. That was a slide show for previous UFO reports.

The cloud picture is from Russia ...and it is a cloud .
Shanghaidaily are reporting that

based on eyewitnesses accounts, it could be a sky lantern or a large balloon. An investigation is under way

Probably turn out to be a Heli, like the others.

A UFO over an airport should give us huge amounts of data, video, audio, pictures. etc... Where is that data?

Not only that, but I've seen the same cloud formation in Texas. Definitely not the same footage or picture though. Weird
