Stop coddling the super-rich: Buffett

ahh good ole buffett... who placed a 5 billion dollar bet in GS during 2008 in which he is still making money off of (in the tune of over a billion in profit). He bet that US government would bail out GS after LB fell (spending with debt money to do so), and now he agrees to raise taxes? Maybe he could stop being a hypocrite, with both the hedging and the fact he's paying half the tax rate of those who make a fraction of a percentage of his own income.

maybe he should start by not paying his secretary a lousy $60,000 a year and triple the salary of everybody who works for him.

You've never overpaid your taxes, have you? Of course not. The government would just hand him a $5 billion check next April.

The trickle down theorist realizes the real problem with seeing it; the rich don't have to give up their money to create jobs or raise wages. Cut social programs because we're "broke" but allow those millionaires and billionaires that lower tax rate because they'll surely create jobs and raise wages...surely they will.

[Sarcasm] The bottom 50% own 2.5% of the wealth. 1.45 Trillion dollars is EVERYTHING the bottom 50% of Americans own in the world. How dare they have lower tax burdens! The tax hike Obama wanted would have raised the upper two tiers of taxpayers by 700 billion over the next 10 years. We should just take half of everything the lower 50% own instead..gee that would be 700 billion!!!..Hell like Jon says lets just take all lower 50% have. [/Sarcasm]
