I hope I don't offend anyone with this. I cut this from a newsletter and find it interesting.

Our Moslem Brothers -
whether Arab, Persian or whatever
are about 20% of the worlds population -
over 1 Billion people strong.
They comprise the majority population
of 22 countries in the world
and yet among ALL of them

* Do not produce
a single manufactured product
of sufficient quality
to sell on world markets.

* The productivity
of all the Moslem countries
are among the lowest in the world.

* Not one Moslem country
contains a single
world-class university.

* The once-great tradition
of Arab science
has degenerated into
a few research programs
in the fields of chemical
and biological warfare.

* Not one of the Moslem states
is a true democracy.

* No Moslem state
genuinely respects human rights.

* No Moslem state
hosts a responsible media.

* No Moslem society fully respects
the rights of women or minorities.

* No Moslem government
has ever accepted
public responsibility
for its own shortcomings.

One writer wrote to me
that Palestine alone has more Ph.Ds
than Israel -
and I said to myself -

"Whoa! I am going to have to shift
my paradigm."

And then I got to thinking.
So - what is a PhD ?
It stands for Doctor of Philosophy -
and what this person is telling me
is that by Islamic standards they have
more people who have studied philosophy
(Islamic philosophy) to a level
that they consider to be a doctorate.

In my view -
"Study that begins in words -
and ends in words."

But let us look at their accomplishment,
by Western Standards.

There are a mere 14 Million Jews
in the entire world
yet they have received 151 Nobel Prizes.
The Muslims number 1.4 Billion (with a B)...
or 100 times the number of Jews!

Based upon this 100:1
Muslim-to-Jewish ratio,
one might expect the Muslims to have
15,100 Nobel Laureates.

They have EIGHT!
