If anyone has seen the People of Wal Mart site, they may find this story unbelievable. A woman was approached after she entered Wal Mart and told that her outfit violated health codes and that she had to put on a T-shirt or leave.

Want to See the Outfit That Allegedly Got an Ore. Woman Thrown Out of Walmart?

It was 90 degrees last Sunday when Sandy McMillin of Eugene, OR decided to head to a local Walmart with her sister. So she threw on what anyone would on a hot day: a string bikini top with bright red shorts.

Like your eyes now, the details of what happened next are fuzzy. Or at least in dispute. McMillin says that five minutes into her trip, a Walmart employee told her to put a shirt over her bikini top or leave the store.

“I was horrified,” McMillin told KVAL-TV. “I am embarrassed.”

“We just walked in, straight over to the clothing,” her sister, Karla Vogt, added. “It’s wrong. If you don’t like the way someone looks, don’t look at them.”

After that, McMillin said she was escorted out of the store.

“I hadn’t done anything obnoxious or outlandish,” McMillin said.

An attorney for the 51-year-old McMillin said the experience was embarrassing but he is more concerned about the way McMillin was treated because she is disabled from injuries suffered in motorcycle crashes.

The Blaze

Wal Mart disputes her story, claiming that she was not escorted out and was approached after they received customer complaints. There is a video of the news story at the link but, I can't embed.

Do you think she was dressed crazy enough to get thrown out of Wal Mart, especially considering some of the pics at the People of Wal Mart site?

easy enough there has to be a limit on the way people dress sometimes there is concern for puking and of vilonce depending on ugliness and gang affiliation.

I think they were more concerned about sanitary reasons than anything else, I know people will say her rights were stripped because of this but common sense would have to prevail in this case.

Well just like you said, there are people WAY more bizarre than her on the People of Walmart site. Not sure why they singled her out. Obviously she has extremely poor taste in clothing, but if that's their new criteria for determining who gets to stay in the store then they might as well kiss their customer base goodbye
Heck, one of the reasons I go to Walmart is to see the freak show

I don't care if you are short, fat, tall or hot nobody should be walking around in bikini tops unless it's the beach or a place where that attire is required.

There is no reason she couldn't put a shirt on to go into the store.

I live in Florida and go to the beach and I always stop at Wal Mart on the way for snacks. I have never seen someone walking around in a bikini top and nothing over it and this IS Florida ON the beach! I always wear a tank or dress over my swim suit.

If it was hot she could have put the shirt on for the store and taken it off in her car when she was done. I mean is it that hard?

When you have the lowest possible prices and quality of product, what more do you expect?

Had it been a "hot" chick in a bikini there would have been a different reaction. The store employee surely would have made every attempt to get a date with said "hot" chick.

I don't live too far from Eugene and let me tell you this could have been a dude with "man-boobs" just as easily...
maybe it was??? I really don't like Wal Mart anyway! So I guess the freak show needs a place to buy their toilet paper and cheap beer! let them wear what they want!

Granted, if I saw her in walmart I'd be like "holy cow". About the sanitary issues, imma thinkin that she stank, and people complained about the smell.

great video would make a perfect commercial for walmart. there is something for everyone there. as for the woman that was kicked out was it there over zealous security that gave her the boot. I was banned for a year for consumption long story short I was at walmart and ate some chips not pringles the walmart great value brand the walmart gestapo surrounded me took me to there office called the police even though the whole time I was telling them I will pay for it. the police and I laughed about the whole situation no charges were laid but the walmart rent a cop said it was store policy to ban me for a year. I have since been to other walmarts. I believe rules are meant to be broken and I am trying to get an admin job there to boot. walmart got to love it
