The German company, Rum & Co has been asked by Paypal to "Remove any Cuban cigars from their website, which violate the PayPal terms of use". The U.S. company eBay is committed to the embargo against Cuba and wanted to prevent the trade in goods from the country. Shortly after that "warning", their shop got completly blocked from Paypal, because they also run Cuban rum and other goods from Cuba. Even ashtrays were affected, said Altmannm (lawyer). "We do not do it. We see absolutely no reason to do so. We deliver within the European Union. I do not knew that American companies simply want to dictate anything to us," said Altmann. Paypal: "By our own discretion, we reserve the right to close accounts at any time" and "to limit payment sources and payments, limit access to an account or all account features."
