Conservative Origins of Obamacare

The essence of Obamacare, as of Romneycare, is a three-legged stool of regulation and subsidies: community rating requiring insurers to make the same policies available to everyone regardless of health status; an individual mandate, requiring everyone to purchase insurance, so that healthy people don’t opt out; and subsidies to keep insurance affordable for those with lower incomes.

The original Heritage plan from 1989 had all these features.

These days, Heritage strives mightily to deny the obvious; it picks at essentially minor differences between what it used to advocate and the plan Democrats actually passed, and tries to make them seem like a big deal. But this is disinformation. The essential features of the ACA — above all, the mandate — are ideas Republicans used to support.

How come you conservatives don't support this stuff now?

I've heard people refer to Romney as a stealth liberal. How do you think the far left captured the Democrat Party already? It's the same tactic. You just put on a sheepskin....and pretend you're a sheep. Besides, Massachusetts is extremely liberal. I am guessing that liberals within the state put forth the state legislation and romney just signed off on it for his constituents.
Socialised medicine is not conservative by any means. But then, this is how the commie radicals confused everybody with fascism. They said fascism is right wing when in fact its just a bit to the right of the far left. It's a completely false paradigm.

What's the synthesis of left and far left?

democrats in name only.

and not all democrats and republicans are created equal geographic location is the tell tell sign.

flyover country makes up the greatest concentrations of "conservatives" and "democrats"

and the age factor my father is a democrat and my mother is a republican and neither one is like what is passed off in washington dc.

Same reason I wouldn't have supported it then. The individual mandate.
I refuse to be forced to buy something I do not want.
