The main problem with what you have cited is that it is not on a per capita basis. The US has a big population so is boind to have **more** of XYZ
than other smaller countries.
For example... The US may have over 700,000 police officers, but on a per capita basis the US has far fewer police officers (at c. 230) per 100,000
than Russia (c. 980); Italy (550) and France (c. 370). In fact, the US has a relatively low number of police officers for the population, which may
be part of the problem.
You could draw this comparision for almost everything you have cited - and if I get the time I may do just that.
One thing though... Some of your figures seem wrong. According to the OECD (I think) the UK has half the TV viewing figures than the US. The
country behind the US is Turkey. If you could cite the sources then we could all have a look!
So in summary. Some debatable points and really poor use of statistics.
