"Unlike airplanes and nuclear power plants, we don't design and build human beings, we don't even have the instruction manuals," said Dr. David Gaba, a Stanford University associate dean and pioneer in simulated patient design. "Building them from scratch like this is pretty tough. They still have pretty far to go."

Building medical patients to do testing on to save lives, sounds like a good idea just as long as they are not living clones that are the test subjects.
