Thats only $1/2tr and was we that skint and needed money then we could go looking for the $2.3tr that went missing the day before 3 building fell over that we all forgot about.

We could cash in some of our $60-$600tr worth of credit default swaps or did you not know that we have been using CDS to bet against european banks that greece would default and since we own the IMF then we can make them default when ever we like.

They won't do that. They probably already spent it or will keep it for themselves. They won't use it to ``save America``... they don't care. They want America to fall.

And if they used that money, they would have to explain where it came from.

Medicare is not fixable without reform of the healthcare system, especially the anti-trust exemption that the industry has, and the prohibition from medicare negotiating drug prices in medicare part c. SS is probably saveable but would require both an increase in retirement age and taxing all wages instead of the current cap.

I personally would rather not pay SS tax keep that money and get what the employer contributes added to my pay.

Anyone who thinks that the money they paid into social security over the years is theirs should really look up and read Nestor vs. US, and how the Supreme Court ruled there. Basically, SS is a tax attached to a political promise.
