you do realize that the wage gap is now confined to working mothers, working women with no children are now earning about equal to the men, but once
they have kids, they are seen as less valuable to the employers....
I've watched the hassle that the moms get at work when they can't be there because of the kids...guess what, we have a few single parent dads who
are getting the same hassle when their kids prevent them from pulling in the hours. not having shared custody doesn't protect a person from this,
obviously, since one of my coworkers got a nice long lecture when he couldn't come in, because the mom couldn't get there to pick up the kid when
she was supposed to picked up!! so, well, I guess the workplaces are gonna have to become a little more family friendly, or else both mom and dad are
gonna be getting crap wages simply because they are putting their kids first!
and, well, like I stated earlier, in many cases it's financial problems that are causing mom not to be with dad to begin with. if the two couldn't
pull in the resources to live comfortably in one household, they have very little chance of holding down two.....
so, is hud supposed to pay for two luxury apartments with granite countertops, spas, pools and what ever else that was?? heck, why don't we just
bypass all the messy separation and divorce, and just provide everyone with these nice new homes!!! while we are at it, some free healthcare would be
nice!!!
the economy needs an adjustment, and that would solve at least some of the problems. as long as people can live better being "poor" they are gonna
stay poor, even if they really like the father of their baby and want to be with them. heck, there's plenty out there with daddy, but
shhh.....don't let the gov't know!!!
