Science should become an ally of religion, not an enemy (apt for many different religions)

FIRST OF ALL, this is a point of view that does not follow any religion in particular.

What science do is to try to find the truth, tough this is impossible, as humans are not capable of reaching that because of material limitations (there are things that instruments cannot measure, nor we can see) so we have conformed over the time to search for those things that work, like Newton's "laws" only apply in certain situations, so they are not true in the pure sense of the word, but they are still called "laws" because they work, and because we can use them in those certain situations and they WILL predict the results, or support them, and we know that it is like that.

But, again, there are limitations to what we can predict with these formulas, there are things we don't know, MANY things and the fact that we don't know them only makes their scale even bigger, I even dare to say that there are so, so many things we don't know that every single thing we think we know could be wrong, but we still use this "knowledge" because it works, with it we have made instruments we didn't imagined possible one hundred years ago, with it we have done things people could not dream of one century ago.

My point is, science doesn't need to be the enemy of religion, science is our personal way to understand God's creation, it doesn't need to be true, it just needs to be true to us, its our way to move through our lives, all of the believers who fight and disagree with atheist and scientists through this website are using some sort of electronic device and most of them do not even know the amount of quantum physics required for those devices, yet they say fight with quantum physicist about the truth of their statement.

We need science, but we also need religion, there are many things science will never be able to explain and many more science will not even come close to discovering the truth about, those holes have to be filled with something because if there's anything that we can be certain of is that there is a truth, this is where religion kicks in, science will never get to the essence of love or happiness yet, many religions manage to do it, the reason for that is the approach taken to reach or try to reach the truth, one is by facts, but facts can only tell one side of the story, the other is by faith or hope.

What I'm trying to say with all this, is why do we keep fighting about the same things over and over again? science works and if it works is because it is not completely wrong, and religions works too, not on the same things nor the same way, but it works and if it works is because it is not completely wrong.

The great electrical engineer, Nikola Tesla, after listening to Vivekananda's speech on Sankhya Philosophy, was much interested in its cosmogony and its rational theories of the Kalpas (cycles), Prana and Akasha. His notion based on the Vedanta led him to think that matter is a manifestation of energy.

This is what I'm talking about, but it just makes me sad that most people don't understand this, and many die because of this every day.

Agreed! There is no reason at all why science and religion should be enemies, and in fact, they're really not,

True, formally called philosophical scepticism and practically appliable as working inside 'relative realities', each containing their own 'procedures'.

True again, and the 'solution' has repeatedly been presented as 'agnostic' (non-absolute) positions.

SOME need science, SOME need religion. And as to what either of them will find in the future, the future will show.

There have always been groups striving for monopoly. It takes more than a polite: 'Pleeeease" to end that; it's a mindset thing.
