In the last 12 months there have been numerous large cat sightings in and around Leyland, Lancashire.
One set of sightings last year made the national news - dubbed "The Beast of Beast of Buckshaw" - as local wildlife were being mauled - bins were being turned over - (some fool claimed to have got a photgraph of it - but this was a hoax).

This is not the first time these sightings have been made - and there is a local legend of a demonic cat associated with old (12th century)
St Andrews church in Leyland - I have even found (and photographed) a relief of a cat carved into the masonry

They seem to be a little shell shocked by cats in the UK these days.
They got out the high tech stuff for this one lol.
