U.S. missile hits crowded market, kills 58.

I read it in an editorial in a newspaper yesterday, I've still got it at home so I'll try to verify what it was they were saying. Can't find it on their website though...

I think people on both sides would agree that even if this was a coalition bomb/missile, it was not intended to hit civilians. If we wanted civilians dead, there would be a lot more dead right now, that's a fact.

It would not benefit us to start bombing Iraqi civilians, we are trying to win hearts and minds. It would however make sense for the Iraqi army to blame it on us to try and get it's civilians stirred up and angry at the coalition forces. I wouldn't be surprised to find out this was done purposely by the Iraqi army.

On a side note, no matter what the reason, questioning your government does not make you a good American or a real American, it just makes you a guy that questions your government.
