WASHINGTON, March 27 (UPI) -- President George W. Bush Thursday praised the U.S. House of Representatives for its approval of a national child
abduction notification system that includes stiffer penalties for sex offenders and abolishes the statute of limitations on crimes against
children.
"Protecting our children is a shared priority for the American people and federal, state and local authorities," said Bush in a statement issued
after the House vote.
