I took my kids to see the latest Pirates of the Caribbean, and one
of the preview movies was this one,Cowboys and Aliens.
I mean, really, how far are they going to go with this alien and getting the public
desensitize to a possible alien invasion.
Heck,if they threw in Clint Eastwood and named it "High Noon with Aliens" My dad would watch it.

Right, because alien movies haven't existed for the past half-century?
Are you sure your not attributing meaning (desensitization of general populace to extra-terrestrials etc.) to the 'innocent' act of choosing a film
subject that is popular currently to the general public?
Oh,I know alien movies have been around for awhile, and the frequency of them have increased exponentially, but this new twist
just struck me as really out there.
Heck I have been watching alien B movies since the 60's.
I guess they are making use of the growing acceptance of
ET as being ,or becoming the "norm" in society.
At least the effects are way better.
