Cowboys And Aliens: The Movie

I took my kids to see the latest Pirates of the Caribbean,and one
of the preview movies was this one,Cowboys and Aliens.



I mean,really, how far are they going to go with this alien and getting the public
desensitize to a possible alien invasion.
Heck,if they threw in Clint Eastwood and named it "High Noon with Aliens" My dad would watch it.

Are you sure your not attributing meaning (desensitization of general populace to extra-terrestrials etc.) to the 'innocent' act of choosing a film subject that is popular currently to the general public?

Oh,I know alien movies have been around for awhile,and the frequency of them have increased exponentially, but this new twist
just struck me as really out there.
Heck I have been watching alien B movies since the 60's.
I guess they are making use of the growing acceptance of
ET as being ,or becoming the "norm" in society.
At least the effects are way better.

What more need be said? I see no conspiracy here. Love alien movies; love cowboy movies. I'm in....

But I do admit there's been tons of alien movies coming out lately, which is good, because I love alien movies.

It's based on the 2006 graphic novel of the same name.

I suppose the third Tremors movie made this one possible, not to mention the Firefly TV show.

I first saw the trailer for this back in Jan, I gotta say it looks awesome.

It's an adaptation of a comic book...and Hollywood goes through phases. They're not trying to soften us up for vampires, are they? Horny ones at that.

I guess cowboys and anything is always good.
I remember one with dinosaurs when I was a kid.
Can't remember what it was called,but they have come a long way with special affects.

Cowboys and Tesla, dressed up like Bat Masterson,

Zaps and freezes, like the Taser, all the bad guys
and saves the day.

Comes back to invent the radio.

I just got done watching the movie.
I thought it was very good.
Like the part that the aliens were here to take our gold..
