It amazes me how people are constantly preaching the "truth" or whatever they call it, yet they cant even answer reasonable questions about how they came to know that truth. If you are so enlightened or whatever then why aren't you sharing your research and methods?

Faith is ridiculous, especially when that faith is based on what was written in a collection of books written by men and "eyewitnesses" not even alive or around at the supposed time of christ. A book compiled to control and manipulate the masses through fear and ignorance, which is still working to this day.

My answer is simply this: Belief and Faith. No more and no less.

When you have an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ you just know. When you have that relationship there's no question of what is truth and what is not. It is revealed to you through Him. If you are not willing to commit to a relationship with Him, then your questions will never be answered. No one but God/Jesus Christ/the Holy Spirit can answer the questions to your satisfaction. I'm sorry, there is just no physical proof for me to offer you other than what is written in His Word. If you choose not to believe and not to have faith, there is no proof.

How can you possibly know that? I think you cannot answer the questions and will constantly keep evading giving real answers. You are a fraud.

We were given brains (along with many other things) for a reason: to use them. So why do you not use yours? Your religion is dangerous because it forbids or discourages use of what comes natural to us. What is the point if we were given all these gifts yet are forbidden from using them, and instead of thinking we just let others do the thinking for us? Wake up. And I bet on sunday you will have an excuse to explain the complete failure of the prophecy.

If you'd bothered to read the whole thread, you might have noticed, that I clearly state, that I'm not bothered by christians in general. While I personally consider most of the christianities absurd, this is not something I would make a campaign of. Everybody has a right to individual (or consenting group) ideas.

You must have mistaken me for someone else because at no time in this thread or in any other did I ever say that I believed Camping's prediction was true. Just for the record, as I have posted elsewhere in this forum, I do not believe that Camping is correct in his "prophecy." Even though I am sure he sincerely believes it himself.

And you mention my religion, I never mentioned "my religion", only that I believe in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour. I don't claim to be affiliated with any religion.

If I am to understand correctly on this rapture thing then a few astronomical events have to take place tomorrow:

1. Sun and moon darken.
2. Stars fall from heaven.
3. Powers of the heavens shaken.

Possible explanation

1. Thick cloud covering blocks out light or the sun shuts off.
2. Meteors and comets burn like bright stars as they fall to earth.
3. SOHO and satellites pick up strange movements of the planets and sun.


How do the Christian fundies know when the thief is coming? They don't.

I read a Catholic blog that said he changed his faith because Judgment day didn't come when the leaders said. The same will be true of this group. They will leave the faith because of the same reason. God wants you to live your life as if Judgment day is beyond your life time or is right around the corner. Then he can see where your true motives lie. Sorry, no rapture for hypocrites.

Pretty nifty since the Tanakh has been around for longer than that, and the New Testament fully corresponds with the Old Testament if taken within the religion and culture it was primarily written for.

But I have strong faith that it is the ATS feature to blame. Have you ever noticed, when you are done making a post, theres all kinds of eff ups in it? I think the Rapture already happened. Only one person went with God. The Macho Man Randy Savage. They say he had a heart attack while driving and lost control of the car and this caused his death. I think The Macho Man's soul went with God and he was the only one raptured. This caused his body to die and his car to lose control.

It's just as believable a story as anything written in the Bible isn't it?

It happens because of the excitement in creating the thread. The brain blinds itself from seeing stupid errors. I've done it a number of times. I now create my posts in Word before putting them on the board. Even then I have to proof read it because a word can be spelled correctly but its the wrong word. I have reviewed some of my old threads that I didn't spell check and proof read. I was shocked and embarrassed.
