If you’ve read the lead story in The New York Times on President Barack Obama’s Middle East speech this afternoon, you’re probably under the impression that the president has taken a bold new step to end the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

it’s not much of a shift at all.The key word in that opening paragraph is that word “explicitly.” What it means in this context, is that he said something that multiple presidents have said before him, but with slightly weaker language.

What wasn’t in Obama’s speech was anything new on how you get from here (complete dysfunction – it’s a “process” by convention only at this point) to there (peace).

Not a bad article but not near as good as the one I posted last night.www.abovetopsecret.com... Like I said here Obama is just reading the script Isreal gave him and whats more the USA is going to get dumped in a big way this time around.

To a degree it is different. By claiming Israel should return at some point to pre 67 borders is a huge step towards an all out war in that region. Israel would never do that, nor should they. Religion aside, they have a right to defend their territory and if they feel the only way they can is to put up a wall or build a fence, so be it. Just because we invite terror into our country at all of our borders doesnt mean they should.

Obama is only interested in glorifying himself as a "peacemaker" by out doing President Carter re his cold peace deal achievement between Egypt and Israel. Except, Obama will NEVER achieve peace between the Israelis and "Palestinians" because he's in way over his head and out of his league intellectually when dealing with a twice PM of Israel.

Obama has only been around, what, a couple of years? Netanyahu has been around since the 1960s.

How can a President who has never fought for his country, done squat for the USA, become Chief of the US Military?

Netanyahu, on the other hand, has done military service, lost his brother at Entebee, achieved the Premiership of Israel not once but twice.

President Obama will always go down in history as the dud of all US Presidents!!! His achievements will always amount to ZERO !!!
