The biggest problem i see is our current technology and lack of understanding of the brain itself
While PC's transfer data internally at almost 300,000,000 m/s, or 50,000 times faster than the human brain. But, even with this huge advantage,
computers cannot approach the processing ability of our brains. There are some very efficient, and unknown, methods at work to produce this result,
but it's clear that the brains geometry and compact arrangement of the brain — is part of the reason. It is also thought by many that the brain is
like a quantum computer - which we are only still starting to dabble with.
A Lan itself does not solve any issue. Computers are fully scalable, meaning putting the processing over a whole lan, wan or keeping it within a
single pc or laptop is not going to make a difference besides more power.
There are 2 things that make a computer - software and hardware, and without understanding the software of the brain there is no point messing with
the hardware.
I liken this to trying to build an emulator, you have software processing and hardware processing - a good emulator will use both.
Can we reverse engineer the brain - I absolutely believe so
are we close - no where near IMO
