Too Bright

Too bright, I wasn't too blind
But you made me believe I was
You don't get to show me the damn light
No more of your lies, I choose the real light.

Yet the darkness has it's draw,
For surely it grabs the heart
And lures away from the truth
But the darkness can lead the way, too

And I choose the light,
Like a moth to the flame
knowing the desire is the
replacement for the pain.
