New bill upgrades unauthorized Internet streaming to a felony

This seems absolutely crazy, if this were true a hefty portion of the population would be felons as so many internet users have at some point either downloaded something illegally or put something copyrighted into a video of theirs. The whole thing seems so impractical. If the big business content makers would just embrace the internet sharing age instead of fighting against it they could use it to turn a massive profit the same way that smaller more independent content makers do.
