Iran sending banned weapons to Syria

edition.cnn.com

United Nations (CNN) -- Iranian weapons banned for export under Security Council resolutions are making their way to Syria, according to a new report from the United Nations.

The leaked document, compiled by a U.N. panel of experts, says "most reported incidents of conventional arms-related violations involve Syria," and in "incidents inspected by the panel, prohibited material was carefully concealed to avoid routine inspection."

Iran has been targeted by several Security Council resolutions since 2007 focusing on specific activities, institutions, entities, and individuals related

So what are your thoughts of this ATS? What will this mean for the future?

If the U.S. ever gets involved in Syria, will Iran try to get involved and back them up with more than just weapons?

I've read current threats about WW3 already being in the process of happening, and that Syria is part of it. I'm curious to know what everyone thinks about this. Is this news relevant or important?

Iran is a joke. If you do a RISK game style assesment of the area you will see our armies positioned to attack them from every angle possible.

If war was a porno it would be the most extreme g-bang of all time.

I say let Syria have their guns so they can properly fight the corrupt individuals that are killing them for only protesting.
Now if some US politician thinks we need war, I agree.
Let the politician be the first one in Iran with an M-16, let them fight their own fight.

Iran didn't ban the weapons. The UN and hence, the US and the Elite banned them. They do not have the authority to dictate Global Rule.

I am not a proponent of Iran but I am a proponent of Countries not bowing down to the UN who has proven to be guilty of numerous crimes against humanity and dictating their personal agenda.

Definitely. I think politicians should have to serve in the military before sending troops to war.

No no no!
Not serve, if they need a war, let them be the first one in and last out.
This would fix alot.
Several senators, congress Etc. have ridden on the coattails of their lackluster performance in the military.
Heck there was this guy who claimed to be a fighter pilot.

Not that Im a fan of iran, but who are we ( the US or UN ) to say what a country can or can't do? Its ok for the US politicians to commit murder, fraud, theft etc etc, and thats ok? Iran may have to do what they have to do to survive.

Do any of the previous posters realise that this game that is being fed to you is total crap. 2 months ago I was betting all of my friends that Uncle Sam was gonna take on Pakistan soon, and look now. The propaganda campaign has already started. Most mainstream americans are already spouting about how bad Pakistan is when most of them can't even point it out on a map. And the proof in the pudding is that for the last 6 months before the supposed op that got OBL, the mainstream media has been prepping our collective mentality for more war. All they have to do is bring up a "talking point", i.e. "Muslim=Evil, and they hammer their propaganda into your skull 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, etc. and eventually almost everyone ends up hating a certain group of people RIGHT BEFORE we go to war with them, with no real reason for hating them other than that we've been told to. And by continuing this epic falsehood, you allow them to send your sons and daughters to some godforsaken hellhole with no purpose other than fattening the wallets of a hand-full of people. The time to wake up is now, people! Next time you hear some talking head on CNN talking smack about another nation or group of people...RESEARCH IT FOR YOURSELF!!!You'll be surprised what you can find out through public-access documents...as long as you're somewhat good at sifting through crapples. And speaking of crapples...this Iran business...does anyone realise that we helped them overthrow one dictator, installed a pro-US dictator, attacked his credibility when he denounced their corruption, and now, constantly reminding the world that Iran is evil. And keep in mind that while Iran may be quite the martial state compared to, say, Canada, they are nowhere near capable of attacking the US and surviving the fallout. They are only considered a threat because you have been told that they are a threat....think about it...I dare you....

Who said they were banned? The USA? NATO? UN? You can't ban another countries weapons. What would you do if the UN banned guns in the USA?

As I stated above, who ARE we to say what a country can or cannot sell? Could it be they are simply trying to boost their economy, instead of being dependent on others for the stimulation? I would love to see the " global police " no longer, and foreign country " nation building " practices ceased.

Hit that on the nail, but I would include when you hear ANY MSM outlet preach their propaganda, to deny it as viable evidence and research it yourself.

lol that was just one example of an MSM outlet. sorry if I'm being too narrow in my scope. The bottom line is, their words are bought and paid for by the bankers. Just look into Nazi-Germany before WWII and compare it to what's happening now, and prepare to have your mind blown. There's evidence that Swiss bankers propped up all sides in WWII, while taking in massive amounts of gold that were stolen from Jews who were massacred. The only reason the US stepped in was because Hitler wanted to run the world, and america pretty much said "HEY! THAT'S OUR JOB!!!!." But the eerie thing is, they installed prominent Nazis in all aspects of the Social, Economic and Political mechanisms of America, INCLUDING THE MSM(!!!), afterwards (google Operation Paperclip). It's like all that time while Hitler was rising to power, there was someone in the White House taking notes.

You did just fine. But Im just tired of the same arguments, that we hear on a daily basis.....medicare this, SS here...blah blah blah.

Nothing seems to change, especially when the politicos have been in office for far to long....and get nothing done in the process, then have the audacity to tell another country what they can or can't do, what they can or can't sell.

Hell Im surprised we haven't rolled on over to Iran, and threw in some drones, and ground troops like we did in Libya. Its only a matter of time before we head on over to Pakistan.

The craziness never ceases to amaze me!

The thing that really bothers me, to be honest with you, is how vastly their social manipulation is affecting people. You can even see it creeping into ATS more and more frequently. Sometimes I don't know if people just haven't done the research, or if we are now conditioned to be dumb. I even find myself succumbing to it occasionally (for a second or two). I mean, I can't help but think about the younger generation, being too young to know what it was like when things were still corrupt, but not so severely. They have nothing to compare to so it is inevitable that most, if not all of them will fall victim to the social manipulation. Try to find a kid over 10 these days that doesn't have a "smart"phone that basically "tells" them what to think through ads, etc.

I wonder if it is a conincidence that a small game punlisher made a game a year or 2 ago in which US Marines fight Syrians in the near future??

Combat Mission: Shock Force

At it's core, Combat Mission: Shock Force is a military simulation depicting a hypothetical near-future conflict in Syria following a fundamentalist coup d’état. As in Afghanistan 2001, the radical new government's refusal to shut down major terrorist organizations and its' regional destabilizing effect, compel NATO Coalition forces into action.
