We are the young
We live for today
We live for tomorrow
We are loved for all we have
We are hated for all we have
We show kindness
We show greed
We believe only in others
We believe only in ourselves
We contribute the most
We contribute the least
We are society's hope
We are society's scapegoat
We live until we grow old
We live only briefly
We are the young
We leave songs unsung
Some of us will grow old
But those who live just a moment
In this hourglass of time
Will be forever the Young
