There have been a lot of reports that Osama was dead long before he was killed in the raid, and some reports say that it wasn't even him in the raid. Going on the assumption that it wasn't Osama Bin Laden that was not killed in the raid-- when could Osama have died? Could he have died when the newspapers have said that he died? Or did he not die until Al-Qaeda said he did?

Osama bin Laden is dead. The news first came from sources in Afghanistan and Pakistan almost six months ago: the fugitive died in December [2001] and was buried in the mountains of southeast Afghanistan. Pakistan's president, Pervez Musharraf, echoed the information. The remnants of Osama's gang, however, have mostly stayed silent, either to keep Osama's ghost alive or because they have no means of communication

Now people are saying that Osama is still alive...

An Islamist website has inadvertently triggered rumours that Osama bin Laden is dead. The article about the al Qaeda leader carried a headline suggesting the Saudi fugitive had died. It prompted flutters on the financial markets and triggered rumours on internet sites of bin Laden’s demise.

However, closer reading of the article revealed that the author was simply suggesting the 9/11 architect could die at any time and Muslims should be prepared for his death.

Yasser al-Siri, an Egyptian dissident who ran the Islamic Observation Centre in Britain and who is considered close to al Qaeda, told the Al Sharq al Awsat newspaper that bin Laden is alive.

An online posting attributed to al-Qaeda on Friday confirms the death of Osama bin Laden and warns of retaliation against the United States and other nations for the slaying of the terrorist leader.

The statement, which was posted on jihadist Web forums, appears to mark the first acknowledgment by al-Qaeda that its founder and leader for more than two decades was killed in a U.S. commando raid in a garrison city in Pakistan.

Al-Qaeda has issued an new warning as they acknowledge Osama bin Ladens's death for the first time. President Obama is heading to Kentucky today to thank the troops involved in the raid that killed the Al-Qaeda leader. (May 6)

If confirmed, the message would also represent the network’s first attempt to appeal to its followers for continued commitment to its cause after the demise of the group’s most inspirational figure.

He died last week. I know the MSM story doesn't hold up with various discrepencies and even I've noticed some things that never added up but even, so it looks likely he died in the raid in Pakistan.

Saying that, I honestly don't care WHEN he died per se, long as he's gone that's all that matters right? Even if in 200 years an ATS member is claiming OBL's still alive and well, fact is we'll have then and have now a lot more pressing issues than Bin Laden going on in the world.

Is Osama bin Laden Dying ... Again?
short version from the link

Which is closer to dying: Osama bin Laden or the CIA's effort to catch him? Nothing has characterized the fruitlessness of the hunt for the al-Qaeda leader so much as the recurrent — and mostly inaccurate — reports that he is seriously ailing, or even at death's door. In 2002, Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf said bin Laden had kidney disease, and that he had required a dialysis machine when he lived in Afghanistan. That same year, the FBI's top counterterrorism official, Dale Watson, said, "I personally think he is probably not with us anymore." Since then, of course, bin Laden has appeared on multiple videos looking healthier than ever.

now where did they CIA get the idea from or was he on dialysis and then died or was he never that ill to begin with? If the later, why say it in the first place, and is the CIA that bad in in finding facts is so is it not time to get rid of it! Then there is the, how do you get rid of the CIA??

You see - isn't it great - the government releases no evidence whatsoever that they killed OBL other than just saying that they did - now, they can bend the story whichever way they want to suit their own purposes in manipulating people in whatever fashion they want.
