A Tokyo University adviser to the government on the nuclear leak at Fukushima has resigned in tears. Professor Toshiso Kosako announced his resignation at a press conference in Tokyo. The key Japanese adviser on radiation leaks at the country’s disabled Fukushima facility said his resignation was a protest over the government’s handling of the disaster. He said the government had set unrealistic limits for radiation exposure at schools near the nuclear site.At the tearful news conference Kosako said he could not stay in the position while levels for radiation had been set at too high a level. He criticized the government for what he said was its casual handling of the crisis and the slow pace of work in bringing the nuclear facility’s radiation leaks under control.

Well ok,we all know what has been told to everyone but you gotta know for sure now how bad things are and have been since the beginning if the advisor quits because he cant handle the guilt behind it all...

Now if we can get this guy to man up and turn whistleblower we'll be set to get some straight facts for once.

What's been done so far and what they're doing now is just so incredibly NUTS.

There are a million other ways they could have handled this mess, but seriously, saving face is not one of them. I don't care HOW stoic the Japanese are known for being... just crazy.

Yeah, guys, seriously, this should be all that people NEED to see to have proof positive that they are broken right now.

You NEVER see this kind of thing in the U.S. This man has taken responsibility the best way he knows how and has acknowledged that what is going on isn't right. How many officials or corporate workers here in the U.S would take responsibility like this guy and give a press conference e.c.t?

Modern day hero imo...and he obviously knows those schools are under deadly radiation.

Coming soon to a country near you! (maybe then people won't forget about it in a week or when their next team's game is on...)

Does anyone care anymore. We've got an imaginary corpse of a long dead bogeyman to worry about. One week Charlie Sheen. That wears out... a Birth Certificate fracas... next up... Masonic wedding rituals, Space Shuttle delays. Everything but the kitchen sink. And absolutely nothing concerning The nuclear disaster, the top men quitting in tears and the horror coming down the pike.

WE NEED TO GET BACK TO WORK. JAPAN DIDN'T JUST GO AWAY! TIME IS NOT ON OUR SIDE. THE MELTDOWN IS STILL GOING ON.
