I've read the bill. Have you read the bill? Do you deny that goal here is to cut medicare? Heres the link to this bill to make sure we are discussing the same one.

budget.house.gov...

It's pritty clear. Part of the bills goal is the completely privatize medicare, it's very clear in this. I already made my point, private healthcare insurers will not cover the millions of elderly with pre-existing conditions. It's not hard to understand.

I'm sick of the MSM

But you wish to compare the credibility of media outlets to the amount of viewers they have, huh?

Yep. I await your reply.

Medicare is BS? How so? It covers the millions of elderly who will otherwise not be covered by private insurers.

It's BS because Obamacare replaces most of Medicare.. Medicare will still exist, but it's actual job is yet unknown.

Obamacare? What's Obamacare?

Now regarding Obama's new healthcare bill, I don't support it and I've stated it time and time again. I don't support mandating individuals to pay into insurance. So please, go ahead and criticise his new healthcare law, it ain't my concern.

Well, I didn't ciritize it.. in fact, my post regarding Obamacare (WTF else am I supposed to call it? The "Neo-Fascist Corporate Expansion of Corporate Health Care Bill Sponsored By Obama"? It's supposed to replace the majority of Medicaid and Medicare... that's it's purpose. And, a certain level of "privatization" since old people will, if my understanding is correct, be mandated to purchase said insurance.

Which, by the way, to get full Medicare benefits you need a "Medicare supplement policy" ...... I know ... I used to sell the garbage.

You implied that all those folks at that townhall meeting who shouted their concerns were "liberal activitists".

Actually I didn't imply anything. It was reported on Liberal media that Liberal groups posted targeted meetings they would "ambush" and that was actually why local media showed up to cover the event. Just like the "Tea Party" did prior to 2008 elections.

By the way, I don't support the screaming and the drowing out in townhalls that folks do.

I didn't say you did. Know what your problem is? Anytime anyone says anything "bad" about either the Democratic Party, Liberals or Progressives you throw a hissy fit, even if you don't even disagree with the person.

So far we have not actually disagreed about anything.

1. Republicans suck. Agree.
2. Democrats suck. We half agree.
3. Obamacare sucks because it's a fascist monstrocity that enriches corporations. Agree.
4. Medicare is good. Agree.
5. Liberals planted people to shout. Fact, whether you agree or not.
6. Paul Ryan is a tool. Agree.
7. Paul Ryan protects the rich, as do most republicans. Agree. So do Democrats. (you disagree)

In fact.. I don't think we actually disagree with anything other than Liberal activist groups, specifically move-on.org purposefully planted people to shout. Ironically, the article that was on CNN is now gone.. www.cnn.com...
The CNN coverage of the meeting on Thursday has magically disappeared, so I dunno.

Oh goodness. Now you're blaming Obama for killing medicare, after celebrating a bill that intends to totally remove it.

I didn't celebrate anything? And I didn't say Obama killed Medicare, I said he replaced it with another type of program and or service?

Are you that incredibly ignorant? I think you like to disagree just to disagree.

Besides that, Medicare is such !%@! coverage it's really hard to ruin it. If you don't have to money for a Medicare part (insert letter here) benefit package, you get subpar care.

No. I support that he's at least come out with something to change the way the Government is run, but I sincerely hope it never becomes law.

Actually I'm kind of scared that if Republicans sweep the next election (though no one has a chance in hell beating Obama) something drastic like his bill would pass. Ryan is a Fascist.

And honest to God, he's really scary to look at. Reminds me condi rice, I think he may be possessed be evil spirits lol.

Ryan's a fascist because he wants to balance the budget ...... proof postive that George Orwell was right when he said "The word Fascism has now no meaning except in so far as it signifies "something not desirable." "

Actually he's a Fascist because he wants to "privatize" Social programs. This in turn because a State mandated tax on peoples labor to be given to private corporations, which will handle (loosely, aggressively and dangerously) the financial balancing of our entire health care and pension program.

"Merging of Government and Corporation" .... Fascism.

Instead of being the lemmings that the entire GOP is expecting of every GOP'r to fall for the Birther mess this is where everyone's focus should be on, someone trying to dismantle the last shred of hope for a majority of Americans.

To those who would rather follow the Birther nonsense and refuses to even pay attention of what is going on here should NOT BE INVOLVED IN POLITICAL DISCOURSE AS YOUR PRIORITIES ARE REALLY BACKWARDS!

I can tell you that, contrary to national media spin, Paul Ryan gets high props around here.
Not so much by the unions, but the older folks still seem to love the guy.

"Merging of Government and Corporation" .... Fascism.

That’s not the actual quote ... "Fascism should more properly be called corporatism because it is the merger of state and corporate power" - Benito Mussolini.

Funny thing about "corporatism", its definition and understanding has become warped over the past 100 years in an attempt to inextricably link capitalism with fascism (or more appropriately Nazism) and absolve good leftists of their academic and intellectual role in the rise of Fascism. I’ll save you the lecture and give you the Readers Digest version of events: from Wikipedia, corporatism is a system of economic, political, or social organization that involves the contract of corporate groups, such as agricultural, business, ethnic, labor, military, patronage, or scientific affiliations, into a collective body.

So corporatism exists everywhere and takes forms that nearly everyone approves of. Government mediated union arbitration: corporatism.
The PTA: corporatism.
Class action law suits: corporatism.

And so on.

What???

People trying to ban class action are corporatists.

Corporations would love to have protection from small dollar claims due to the fact that the cost to maintain the suit would not justify the verdict... Therefore saving corporate America an untold amount of money each year, therefore squashing peoples constitutional right to legal redress with a verdict proof mechanism. Corporations
are the ones lobbying hard for the like and tort reform as well....

This statement of yours has got to me the most ass backwards beliefsI have ever encountered here, that is an achievement

THIS IS CORPORATISM

Paul Ryan is just another clueless stooge in a long line of clueless stooges.

Until he offers up defense cuts that mean something, he will never be taken seriously by the American public.

I don't care if people have cheered him on.

They are sheep, cheering on a wolf.

Yes.. according to Mussolini .. Corporatism is the merging of State and Corporate power. Corporatism, according to Mussolini, is synonym for ... Fascism.

So I'm confused as to what you're trying to defend. Ryan along with most politicians are Corporatist. Agreed. They are also Fascist. Agreed.

Corporatism describes the economic basis for fascism, nothing more. Italian fascism was more than corporatism. Elements of corporatism also describes the economic basis for Christian democrats, syndicalists, European socialists, and nearly every flavor of centrism that has been developed in the past century. While I would certainly defend Ryan and his plan on its merits. I object to the false analogies that it is somehow "fascist" or even corporatist in nature as it decentralizes state power.

A basic understanding of these concepts would prevent a number of posters here from looking like uneducated dolts.
