I think I lost my faith in -western- economy when I was sitting over in england in 2000 and working for a company that was basically calling up every big company in existance to convince them to use slave labor india, pakistani, and chinese programmers and IT guys...the discussion was how cheaply they could get the work done, eliminate their IT department, etc.

I then seen how more and more legislation was put in place to enable this and reward corporations for this basically..or at least remain neutral.

When the high tech jobs go away, and the low tech jobs go away, well, we all better be rockstars and famous actors, because what is left?
