Hypothesis on why we never returned to the Moon or Mars?

I like you Blue Shift - you keep it real and talk sense.

I'd have to agree that there is just nothing of great importance to us that would justify spending millions, if not billions, to go back.

The ISS conducts experiments that can only be performed in Space, who is to say once we get a particular Element or Object from another planet it won’t be deemed useless once taken away from its natural atmosphere?

The possibilities are endless...

IMHO, I believe our governments have the money and the technology to visit the Moon and Mars and I believe there have been visits we have not been told. I also believe we are not being told about everything found on the Moon and Mars.
