gold ? ammo ? of course you could barter with literally anything, but is there a concensus on that ?

1. Small Knife (for preparing caught pigs and small game)
2. My collection of snares or paracord if you dont have any snares premade
3. Small bowl for boiling water (if you have to leave your spring source)
4. First Aid
5. Machete

Most important THE MORE YOU KNOW THE LESS YOU HAVE TO CARRY.
example, I know almost all the edible plants located in my region and know how to trap different types of game, therefor i DONT HAVE TO CARRY FOOD, i almost eat/gather as i walk. I can make shelter very easily and start fire from local resources, i DONT HAVE TO CARRY FIRESTARTING MATERIALS OR A TARP. Even smoking pig can be achived with a combination of hot rocks banana stump and leaves and palm leaves, Imu. Knowing sources of springs or the fact that in my area very large waterfalls deep in valleys come from higher than animals can contaminate so water is safe, DONT HAVE TO CARRY WATER, only a bowl just in case im forced from my location for some reason and need to boil regualr stream water on my way to the next source.
The list could go on.. and im sure u guys have some skills that negate the need for certain gear to be carried.

In my area:

1. A good fixed blade knife
2. Blastmatch
3. Ruger 10/22 w/ammo
4. 3 liter hydration pack
5. 1 quart pan (to boil water / cook food)

Natural shelter is abundant as is edible plants. Can make a filter from natural resources and after boiling the water I would be good to go.
The rifle would keep me fed on squirrels, rabbits, birds and snake..........

My custom made Randall thats served me well for over 40+ years. With the knowledge, skill and experience I've got don't need anything else.
