Well Turkey has a far more serious issue on its boarder with Syria atm. It can sway both sides, but i guess we will only have to wait and see as this has already been decided behind close doors between U.S., U.K. . Fr.

What simply might and i say this as a hypothetical issue, that the u.s. did not openly engage the nato issue currently going on as it needs to be physically closer to its prime objective. On a logistical level, the three other nations have far more productive and less cost effective means to deal with the african conflict. Syria, well sure its going to change, its a question of time, turkey, hmm..well i assume they are going to be drawn into this no matter what their leaders say or do at this point. Far too many times have they threatened the core of the euro ideology and directly have questioned france and germany's authority within the e.u. (Something one must realize thats is not the best thing one should do) Hence, the conflict is drawing closer and closer to the final objective. Similar to how a snail moves. It may move slow and in millimeters, but eventually it gets there...doesn't it ?

think tanks, such a waste of dollars...or are they.

I am not sure about Turkey being pro-NATO for ever... The next flotilla incident will give us the answer.

damn this is not going to be good, if war starts between israel and turkey, then whole middle east vs israel + US + UK forces which will bring in russia and china = world war 3, not good

Neither the US nor the UK will be involved. If Israel attacks, the US and UK will find some excuse to ignore their NATO obligations to help Turkey. if Turkey attacks, the US and UK will be confident that Israel can handle it. There will of course be the usual platitudes of "urging restraint" and the US will, predictably, find some way to profit from the conflict on both sides - we're nothing if not scavengers.

However, war is a hugely unlikely scenario; as started, the blockade has been found illegal (duh). Israel thus has no legal pretext for war and no interest in provoking one. Turkey also does not want a fight, and will also not be provoking one. One of the following three things will happen.

1) Israel will lift the blockade at the last moment
2) Standoff in international waters, resulting in the Flotilla turning to Egypt to have its material delivered via the Rafah crossing
3) Momentary standoff, with the Turks agreeing to searches and escort to their destination in Gaza.

You are overlooking option 4 though. Let them cross the 12 mile limit and then sinking a few ships of the flotilla. Once in a war zone they would be legitimate targets and the civilians aboard those ships would technically be combatants at that point.

Turkey then has egg all over it's face because then it would have been responsible for the carnage. It would be the one committing the act of war. Not to mention that no shipping firm in the future would willingly send a ship to a war zone with the real possibility of the ship being sunk. There would be no future flotilla. But if there was then Israel could let them get to the Gaza port and sink them in the harbor.

You are far too optimistic as to what Israel's options are actually.

as expected the PKK was fingered as they were ruled a non legitimate party. Yet they fail to also inform the public how many millions are of Kurdish descendants. You can more or less imply that they were forced to move their king one inch closer for the checkmate to be that millimeter closer.
