I'd be more worried about pediatricians and teachers or anyone who specialises with children before worrying about some guy at an airport.
Sure there's a case here but I'm sure the 'illicit; photos weren't scans of the bone structure of children and actually proper pornographic and illegal images.
I'm all for having the TSA powers reduced or proper reasons for these scanners being used on some people and not others dependent on their religion but let us not confuse what the issue is here - eh?

The news story wasnt about teachers and pediatricians, it was about a TSA screener being charged with child porn. There were no issues to confuse in this story.. just a news story about a TSA screener posting child porn pics and pics of him in his TSA uniform.

It appears that this one got caught. How many TSA screeners are into kids or groping strangers for sexual gratification and get the job because of the easy access? id like to see a little more checking into these wonderful folks who grope us and our children to keep us safe from the scary terrorists and for our own good.
sick sick sick..

I guess it's just the TSA thing that you're annoyed at and not the reason for his being charged, right?

Or, this is the tip of the iceberg. What are the probabilities?
What is most likely?
People do come into contact with children - those with intimate access are generally screened, but

TSA workers aren't screened......That's kinda the whole point. If they were he wouldn't have been working for them.

Yeah it happens. What's your point? Should we just NOT screen or take any measures because it's going to happen anyway? That's....well, that's lazy.
Let me put your statements into words. "Oh well kids are photographed and molested all the time, lets save some money and not screen our workers, even though we have a machine that makes nice nakie pictures for them to look at."

And again I can supply a pile of links to Doctors, policemen and teachers who all have been convicted of pedophilia.
What about a Scout leader? Or a local football coach? Those guys who look after your kid at whatever playpark/creche you send them to so you can have free time - what about them.
Type 'pedophile police officer arrested' into Google. In fact try any profession with contact with children. Screening helps - but it doesn't stop.
