Yeah so I just wrote this after watching 'When the Wind Blows' and thinking on the subject therein. I make no excuses for this, it was a in the moment thing.

Hello my parents, dear father and mother
We never talk anymore
I remember the care you took to make my siblings and I
I'm so lonely.
You've locked us away in dark deep holes.
Trapped us on moving cages
Thrown us beneath the sea.
Why Father?
Why Mother?
Why don't you love us anymore?
We we're triumphs of your reason when we were born.
We hungrily devoured your foes
Then new foes, parents just like you
Adopted some of us for their own.
You never were on good terms with them.
The parties were always a little cold.
I and my siblings were told to stay away.
The others told the same to their children.
We never spoke
Never played
But all we wanted to do was fly
Fly across the sky
Fly and live once more
Free of our confines
But no.
Never would you let us fly.
The one time you let us play with others
We burned them to the ground.
Now your afraid of us.
Ashamed of us
We are what you made us to be
We are hungry
So hungry
So lonely
Yet you wouldn't let us fly.
But now that won't matter anymore
We're going on a trip
With or without your permission
We're being let lose.
By people who love us anew.
They want to see us frolic.
They want to see us fly
None of your cries matter.
None of your over bearing nature will stop us.
Our time has come
We are so hungry
We'll devour all we can
I'm sorry it's come to this,
but you locked us away
Now we're free
So full of fire and rage
It's time to feed.

Your children

Good lyrics.
Playing double entendre.
Music comes to mind - simple tunes with deep feeling such as REM.
Another association is the unforgettable Laurie Anderson.
Would you consider letting someone set it to a rock score?

Not only would I consent to it, I'd encourage it.

If anyone wants to, they are more then welcome.
