Alfie Clamp has stunned medical doctors by being the only person in the world to be born with an extra strand of DNA.
www.news.com.au...

Unfortunately it doesn't seem to have done him any good. He has some health issues and his life expectancy is unknown.
My first thought was that perhaps we're seeing the first person taking that evolutionary leap but now I think maybe this poor kid is just a product of our polluted planet. Maybe there is more of this to come.

As exciting as it sounds that the Xmen are beginning, alas, it doesn't apply really to this boy. The title by the original reporter is a little misleading, this may be a case of Triplex DNA with an additional strand in few cells of the tissues according to specialist doctors with cytogenetics knowledge.

Thoughts...

1. Praise God and Baby Jesus, its a Miracle.

2. "an extra strand of DNA" and "an extra arm" are two different things, showing the writers lack of knowledge of genetics.

3. The article comes from News Corporation.
When are ATS members going to stop using big media companies for their sources?
Stop it now. You cant trust them. They lie and misrepresent things for multitudes of reasons that you should have nothing to do with.

4. The article is a cut and paste job from the original (sister paper) The Daily Mail. The OP should have checked references and gone to an earlier source. Note also that the actual human who wrote the story is completely unattributed. Probably too emabrassed at the lousy standard of work to put their name to it.

5. Genetic abnormalities are a dime a dozen.
Seriously. They come in all shapes and sizes and various types, and as a result **the first person in the world to be born with an extra strand in his DNA** claim is completely false. This particular specific example is really no more newsworthy than any of the other ufortunate people born with other conditions.

6. Of course it has a name. *Partial Trisomy 7*
For crying out loud, even the bloody wikipedia page for chromosome 7 mentions it...
Wiki

7. There is no government conspiracy here, and no implication that the boys condition has anything to do with HAARP, Nibiru, chemtrails, aliens, or Obama's birth certificate. Why is it even on ATS?

Summary...
Poor journalism, poor posting.
But it is a very good reason to learn about the topic of Genetics. Otherwise all you have to go by in this world is the crappy garbage that the MSM feed you, like this story.

It's sad that such a unique person has all that health problems.
On a more positive note maybe the extra DNA strand will adjust to the enviroment and after a certain age will overcome all the problems.

I say that because on the Daily Mail article mentions that he coudn't see until he was 3 months old,but now he can.

His condition left Alfie unable to see until he was three months old and his muscles were so weak he could not roll over on his own.

www.dailymail.co.uk...

I really hope the best for him.He is really special.

Human evolution will only move forward through Human ingenuity from this point on.

It would take millions of years for automated evolution to occur on such an advanced being which is Human, but we ourselves will push evolution to the next stage, we are already doing it by installing electronics to our brain to take over our daily functions.

We are the controllers.

Poor little guy hope it all works out well for him and his parents, hes from the north of England and that part of the world the environment is pretty clean, so i do not think its a environmental issue, perhaps genetic ? and how do they test for extra strands of DNA, it would not strike me as a normal test,

Thats because news corp creates articles by having separate people write the various parts of an article (who, what, when, where and how) then use software to automatically piece the story together.

This becomes noticeable when reading large articles that have certain facts repeated throughout.

"An extra strand of dna" That could be cool if we only have one or 2 strands of dna. If we have 8 million it doesnt seem too different.

Im not too excited about this because i dont even begin to understand what this could mean.
