Just a heads-up. That broadcast is time-stamped 4/8/11 which means that it was pre-recorded and may have been edited.

Be Well.

Do you have a specific link to said vid or news clip. I can't seem to find it on the main page.

This Preparedness spokesman sure does say a lot without saying anything. Oh wait. He's from a white house office...now I get it. Now he's talking crap about radiation.

I can't watch videos from work, but I went to their website, and I don't see anything specific.

Who is talking about it? A congress person? How did the subject come up? Was it planned, or in response to something else?

Sorry no link, I'm just seeing it on tv now. And confirmed, it is time stamped 4 8 11, so it is apparently prerecorded.

They sure are talking about their planning guidance, cdc, and preparedness for radiological planning.

www.hps.org...

This is the pdf that they are talking about.

I understand that they have a need to prepare for this, especially after what happened in Japan, but shouldn't they have learned from Chernobyl before freaking out over Japan?

My child is sleeping on a dog bed in front of the tv music station (
) so I can't turn on the channel, but I went to the PDF and it says June 2011 updated. Is this what they are referring to on the television show, or is there something else as well?

I see it now. It does seem as though that they are "beating around the bush" in regards to what they are trying to convey. Yes, the time stamp is a few days back. it would seem as though they are saying, "be prepared, be very prepared". Seems rather Ominous to me. They know something that they cannot come right out and say, or so it would seem.

LOL!

Thanks everyone. I saved the document to my computer to read later.

I think preparedness is important, but I think it is a little spooky when they keep nudging us in one direction, like they know something is coming, but they can't announce it.

That is all they are talking about...some Q & A from reporters as well.
Some good questions too!

Not sure, I haven't seen the pdf...its kind of a lot of generic talk and questions about disaster prepping in general on a wide range of topics.

When ATSers watch this - they hear Ugh - There is no plan in place and this guy is tap dancing.
